Starting in this field is a very tough job as you won’t get sufficient money, and it is common knowledge that good photography equipment comes at fairly high prices. Your income as a freelance photographer or a photo journalist might barely keep you afloat, let alone buy the latest equipment. It is only with patience, hard work and dedication that you will survive in this field and get job as well as monetary satisfaction. This is a very physically demanding career option with field projects which might take you to rough terrains in bad weather. Hence, you must be physically fit to be on the move at any given moment. You need to move about with heavy equipment which surely requires a lot of strength. Hence, you need to stay in a good physical shape too.
Hence, we see there are many essential requirements apart from good camera and proper technique to survive in this field. Along with passion, hard work and dedication one must also be professional and business savvy.
