Made by Ducru-Beaucaillou’s Bruno Borie, this is a fruit-driven, Merlot-dominated 2006 displaying notes of sweet cherries, tobacco leaf, and roasted herbs offered in a medium-bodied, evolved, straightforward style.

Made in an attractive, broad, round style, this dark ruby-colored 2011 offers a fragrant perfume of red and black fruits and spice, medium body, and a silky finish. This medium-bodied wine should be consumed over the next 5-6 years.Wine Advocate #212 Apr 2014 Robert M. Parker, Jr. 86   Drink: 2014 - 2020

While I was hoping for something slightly better in 2009, this is still a seductive blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, bottled after 12 months to retain its fruit. With a very sweet spot in the middle, although it is technically dry, it exhibits loads of black currants, roasted herbs and tobacco leaf as well as hints of underbrush and forest floor. This medium-bodied wine is forward enough to drink over the next decade.Wine Advocate #199 Feb 2012 Robert M. Parker, Jr. 87   Drink: 2012 - 2022
