Languedoc wine

As often in Languedoc, the cultivated grape varieties are numerous. To qualify for the Minervois appellation, red and rosé wines must come from the following varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Lledoner Pelut, Carignan, Cinsault, Picpoul, Terret Noir and Aspiran Noir.

White wines must be from the Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc (or Malvasia), Maccabeu, Marsanne, Roussanne, Vermentino (or Rolle) varieties.
These wines with good aging potential are defined as tender and velvety, with silky tannins and aromas of ripe fruit. The mouth is full and long.
