Pauillac has been a French red wine with an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée since 1936. Of course, the terroir has been world-renowned for even longer, in particular thanks to the vineyard's three Premiers Grands Crus Classés: Château Lafite-Rothschild, Château Latour and Château Mouton-Rothschild. The 18 Grands Crus Classés of Pauillac present in the appellation, according to the classification of 1855, moreover represent 85% of the production of the vineyard and also include real references such as Château Pontet-Canet, Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste or Château Lynch-Bages.Pauillac wine is produced in the Médoc in the Bordeaux vineyards. Its vines meander over 1,200 hectares and produce approximately 54,000 hl of wine per year.
