Dominated by Pinot Noir, Carte d'Or is very rich. It opens on stone fruits such as vine peach, then on a spicy touch that gives it power and persistence. Slightly vinous, it also offers a very pleasant quince jelly finish.

80% Pinot Noir, 15% Chardonnay, 5% Miller
Taste and flavor: Brut
Alcohol content: 12°
Allergen: Sulphites

service tip
It will be enjoyed as an aperitif, with firm-fleshed fish, white meat or cheese such as chaource.

Drappier is a family business founded in 1808 in Urville. Since 1930, Pinot Noir has represented nearly 70% of the vineyard, which today covers 62 hectares. Its assertive character had even made it General de Gaulle's favorite champagne since 1965. The viticulture methods are sustainable and certified organic, and the environmental commitment continues with the "carbon neutral" certification since 2016 (Ecoact).

Winemaking
Vinification is done by gravity with natural settling. A malolactic fermentation is carried out. About 5% are aged in barrels. A cuvée made from 40% reserve wines and a dosage of 6.5g/L.
