Domaines Ott - Château Romassan Bandol

Château Romassan produces grand crus, typical and characteristic of the Bandol appellation. Located to the west of the Var, the estate consists of 80 hectares of vine plants that are on average 25 years old. It was acquired in 1956 by Marcel Ott and his children. Made up of limestone, sandstone and marl, nourished by gravel, this singular land, associated with the sun-stricken and particularly dry microclimate, gives rise to elaborate and powerful wines for laying down.

Winemaking
The harvest is manual. Vinification and aging on lees in stainless steel vats and passage in tuns for several months.

Tasting
Dressed in a beautiful shiny color with a light peach color, the first nose is fresh and fruity. It develops aromas of apricots and grapefruit. At the opening, finely spiced notes as well as citrus notes intertwine with aromas of white-fleshed fruits. The mouth is frank, greedy and complex. It is marked by a beautiful structure and a hint of acidity on the finish giving it a nice amplitude and a pleasant persistence.

This wine is ideal with duck with red curry paste, vegetarian burgers or spicy maki with red tuna. Serve at 11°C.
