The wine of Château Rieussec has been one of the first references of Sauternes for several generations. Ranked 1st Grand Cru in 1855, it subtly combines Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle. Château Rieussec 2014 combines the richness and delicacy of Sémillon (93%), the freshness of Sauvignon (5%) and the aromatic subtlety of Muscadelle (2%). Crystalline golden yellow colour. The nose is dynamic, ample and exuberant with spicy (ginger), floral (yellow rose petal, dried lime blossom) and exotic fragrance (mango and fresh pineapple) notes. The palate is lively, tense, straight with a feeling of sap. The liquor is concentrated, pure, ample. Everything is airy, long. A large and beautiful Rieussec with great potential.
