Château La Nerthe is one of the most beautiful and renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with a rich and ancient history. In 1750, the vineyard covered nearly 50 ha and was already exporting to Europe and even to Moscow. In 1784, the first bottling took place at the property. Today directed by Rémi Jean, these 92 ha of vines are conducted in organic farming, without chemical fertilizers, weedkillers and synthetic pesticides.

Winemaking
The vinification is carried out half in completed grape varieties and half in separate grape varieties. Maceration is done in wooden vats, with automatic punching down, according to the Burgundian principle (pressing the marc into the vat) to promote the extraction of tannins and color. Aging takes place exclusively in new barrels.
Tasting
It is a great wine. The first nose is spicy, with notes of cigar and incense, then the fruit appears, of great purity. It is firm and concentrated on the palate, with well-coated tannins and great accuracy.
