Monthélie Wine Burgundy

The rare whites are made with Chardonnay, the reds with Pinot Noir only.This grape variety is expressed through aromas of cherry and blackcurrant, violet and peony, which evolve with age towards undergrowth, fern and spices. They have a fairly firm character and hold, but compared to Volnay wines, whose femininity they share, they have a little less finesse. The best vintages have very good aging potential.
