The Girardin family has been cultivating vines for 13 generations, and the estate expanded in the 1960s thanks to Jean Girardin, who notably acquired Château de la Charrière. In 2003, Yves Girardin bought the latter from his family and now manages 21.5 hectares. In 2011, his son Benoît returned to the estate after studying in Beaune and Bordeaux, to perpetuate the family's winemaking expertise.
