When tasting, Château HAUT-BARADIEU appears full of roundness and charm, with smooth tannins without harshness,
allowing a tasting without aggressiveness, but with good aging potential. Recommended with white meats such as rack of lamb.

The ANNEY family, owners of the wine, comes from a long line of winegrowers. As early as 1715, the first ANNEY was established in Potensac in Médoc. His grandson Arnaud inherited vines in Vertheuil through his marriage in 1779.In 1876, his descendant bought a small wine in Saint-Estèphe between the villages of Pez and Saint-Corbian called Château HAUT-BARADIEU. Raymond-Adrien ANNEY will in turn expand the vineyard and build a wine cellar, rue Beruer in Bordeaux. In 1939, his only son Pierre acquired Château Tour des Termes in Saint-Corbian, a Cru Bourgeois of the appellation. Saint Estephe.
When his father died, he attached Château Haut-Baradieu to it to form an estate of 21 hectares, 17 of which were vines.
Forty years later, his successors Jean and Christophe ANNEY perpetuated the family tradition by planting the remainder of the vineyard.
Significant investments were undertaken, thus positioning the two wines among the sure values of the Saint-Estèphe appellation.
