2010 Château Rayne Vigneau Sauternes

Château De Rayne-vigneau 2010 white: The opinion of the Guide Hachette des Vins 2014Famous for the pebbles (agates, quartz, onyx, topazes, amethysts, etc.) found in its vines, this cru was owned by the Pontac family – Catherine de Pontac, who became Mme de Rayne, gave it her name in the 19th century. –, then entered the bosom of the Cordier Mestrezat trade, before being acquired, in 2004, by Crédit Agricole. On the cellar side, there are other nuggets, such as this 2010 hailed for its balance. The bouquet harmoniously blends candied citrus with honey and hawthorn. The same sweet and persistent flavors line a round, fat, tasty palate, toned with a touch of iodine. The whole has a lot of consistency and deserves to be waited for at least four or five years.
