Overview of Meursault Les Clous
Produced by the esteemed Domaine Vincent Girardin in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, Meursault “Les Clous” is a white wine of exceptional balance and finesse. Sourced from carefully tended vines on well-drained limestone soils, this cuvée expresses both the power and precision of top-tier Meursault.
Tasting Notes
Aroma
Enticing notes of white peach, ripe pear, and citrus blossom mingle with nuances of toasted hazelnut, vanilla, and subtle flint.
Palate
A creamy entry gives way to bright acidity and a backbone of mineral salinity. Layered flavors of Granny Smith apple, lemon curd, and brioche lead to a long, refined finish.
Vinification & Aging
Grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, whole-cluster pressed, and fermented in French oak barrels (20% new). Aging lasts 12–14 months on the fine lees, with periodic bâtonnage to build texture and complexity.
Food Pairing
Enjoy this Meursault with grilled lobster, seared scallops, roasted chicken in cream sauce, or aged goat cheese. Its lively acidity and depth make it a versatile companion to rich, savory dishes.
