The Montagny appellation is located about thirty kilometers south of Beaune, in the hills of the southern part of the Côte Chalonnaise. Made entirely from white grapes, Montagny wines possess a freshness typical of the Chardonnay grape. Maison Latour only purchases wines made from grapes with a high level of natural sugar, indicating their ripeness. Once purchased, this young wine is carefully aged by the cellar master and racked to remove the lees just before bottling. The wine is a light golden color with a lively nose of citrus and white flower aromas, and a very pleasant, lingering finish.
