Pouilly Fuissé AOP White Wine - Burgundy

Maison Vincent Girardin, established in 1982 with 2 hectares, has grown its business over the years, adding a négociant activity in 1990, which it has managed with skill and expertise. Acquired in 2012 by Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois, Maison Girardin is now headed by Eric Germain, Technical Director and winemaker since 2002, who continues in the same vein, upholding its "haute couture" winemaking ethos.

Winemaking
Hand-harvested. The whole grapes are placed in a pneumatic press for low-pressure extraction. After static settling for 24 to 36 hours at a low temperature, the must is transferred to 500-liter barrels (10% new oak). Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation occur naturally with indigenous yeasts, and the wine is aged for 12 months on fine lees without stirring. Natural fining and filtration take place before bottling.

Tasting Notes
This wine is aromatic, with fruity and floral notes. It offers a delightful, fruity palate with lovely freshness and an appealing minerality.
