Brouilly AOP Red Wine - Beaujolais

The Château de Corcelles was rebuilt on the foundations of an ancient stronghold dating back to the Carolingian era. The Richard family took over this prestigious estate in 1984. Les Pas Perdus is a cuvée produced at the Château. It comes from parcels located on the steep slopes of Saint-Etienne la Varenne. This high-altitude location, near the forests, imparts greater tension and freshness to the grapes, making it easier to vinify without sulfites. This enhances the superb terroir of pure granitic sands.

Winemaking: Hand-harvested, undamaged grapes are placed in vats as quickly as possible. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures without any sulfites, with pump-overs twice a day to allow for slow extraction. Maceration lasts approximately twenty days. The wine is aged in vats, protected from oxygen, and bottled without any added sulfites.

Tasting Notes
This is a crisp Gamay, with a lovely initial burst of sweet fruit (cherry, kirsch) and a supple palate that is both fresh and full-bodied. A balanced structure with digestible tannins releases vibrant and luscious fruit.

Serving Suggestions
Serve at 12°C to 14°C, with white meats, a charcuterie board, as well as a pan-fried medley of crisp vegetables or a Caesar salad.
