Chablis

It is with the wine region of Chablis that the marvelous vineyard of Burgundy opens up! The beauty of this portal which leads to the wines of Burgundy is prophetic. Indeed, the unique terroir of Chablis allows the production of very great dry white wines. Chardonnay, on limestone soils of various kinds, offers sumptuous results. Premier Crus and Grand Crus have extraordinary aging potential. Chablis has seven grand crus: Blanchot, Bougros, Valmur, Vaudésir, Preuses, Grenouilles and Les Clos. The vines of the grands crus grow on the Kimmeridgian limestone with the famous fossilized oysters which give these wines an extraordinary complexity.
