Red Wine Graves AOP - Bordeaux

Owner of the renowned Armagnac Château de Laubade, Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues established this estate in the early 1990s on a beautiful plot of land in the Graves appellation, abandoned for decades. Among the most prestigious in its appellation, Haut-Selve extends across limestone gravel, deep gravel, and clay-gravel soils, cultivated without any chemical herbicides to maintain biodiversity.

Winemaking: The grapes are harvested by hand. Maceration lasts approximately three weeks with daily pump-overs. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 30°C. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of various sizes: two 50hl casks, 70% 225L barrels, 20% 400L barrels, and 10% 500L barrels (from 8 different coopers).

Tasting Notes: This wine boasts a brilliant color and offers a bouquet of garrigue and spices, with subtle woody notes. On the palate, the attack is pleasant, with intense red fruit flavors. It is fresh, with fine tannins that enhance the finish.

Serving Suggestions: Serve at 14-16°C with red meats, white meats in sauce, roasts, and dishes featuring mushrooms or ceps à la bordelaise.

Grape Varieties: 55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon
Flavor: Supple and velvety
Alcohol: 13.5%
