Juliénas is one of the 10 Beaujolais crus, located in the far north of the vineyard, bordering the Mâconnais. This wine is selected from a specific terroir within the appellation, one of the cru's four climats: Les Capitans. The vines grow in granitic sand soils, benefiting from excellent sun exposure, resulting in rich, ripe, and elegant wines.
Winemaking
Fermentation takes place with whole, undamaged bunches. Vinification is traditional and semi-carbonic. The maceration time is quite long, allowing for the extraction of rich and elegant tannins characteristic of grapes from this terroir. The wine is then aged during the winter to preserve the purity of the fruit.
Tasting Notes
Ruby color. This is a supple and full-bodied wine, with crisp tannins reminiscent of ripe berries and a beautiful texture on the palate.
