Red Wine Côte-Rôtie La Turque Guigal Rhône Valley
Owner and wine merchant Marcel Guigal now offers an impeccable range across almost all appellations of the Rhône Valley, including the renowned Côte-Rôtie: La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne, as well as, more recently, Château d'Ampuis. La Turque is one of the jewels in the crown of the Guigal estate.
Winemaking
Winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with an automatic punch-down system. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration last four weeks. The wine is aged for 40 months in new oak barrels.
Grape Varieties: 93% Syrah, 7% Viognier
Alcohol: 13.5%
Tasting Notes
The wine has a ruby color with dark highlights. On the nose, it offers aromas of small red fruits, Morello cherry, and blackberry, with a beautiful aromatic intensity. La Turque is elegant, smooth on the palate, offering harmony and finesse, with the robust character of the Côte Brune.
Serving suggestion: Ideal with marinated meats, beef stew, roasts, small game... Serve at 16-17°C.
