Château La Nerthe’s Clos de Beauvenir is a profound expression of Châteauneuf du Pape, showcasing the estate’s centuries-old heritage and exceptional Rhône Valley terroir.

Vinarstvo

Okusne note
V vonju arome brioša, kovačnika, citrusov in belega cvetja namigujejo na kompleksno vino. V ustih zrelo sadje z medenimi notami in izrazito kislostjo potrjujejo izjemno naravo te letnice. Pookus je čudovito dolg z notami mandljev in orehov.

Sorte grozdja: 56 % Roussanne, 44 % Grenache Blanc
Okus: Polnega telesa in močnega okusa
Alkohol: 15 %

Terroir & Winemaking

Clos de Beauvenir hails from the sun-baked vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape, where rounded galet roulé stones retain daytime heat and release it at night, fostering optimal grape ripeness. Hand-harvested Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre undergo gentle destemming and fermentation in temperature-controlled vats. The wine is then matured for 18–24 months in French oak barrels (30% new), allowing for subtle oak integration and the development of fine tannins.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, expect an alluring bouquet of ripe black cherry, wild raspberry, and plum, layered with exotic spices, Provençal garrigue, and toasted vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, revealing concentrated dark fruit flavors, a streak of minerality, and perfectly balanced acidity. Silky tannins lead to a persistent, spice-tinged finish.

Food Pairing & Serving

Ideal companions include herb-crusted rack of lamb, roasted duck breast, or venison stew. It also complements Mediterranean dishes such as ratatouille and aioli. Serve at 16–18 °C (60–64 °F) and decant for at least one hour to fully unlock its aromatic profile.

Cellaring Potential

Thanks to its robust structure and concentrated fruit, Clos de Beauvenir will continue to evolve gracefully for 10–15 years, developing tertiary notes of leather, tobacco, and dried fig.
