A wine merchant and producer since 1797, Maison Louis Latour remains independent and family-owned. It owns approximately 50 hectares of vineyards and also purchases grapes.
Winemaking
Traditional fermentation in open vats, followed by aging for 10 to 12 months in medium-toast oak barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red in color, Louis Latour Monthélie reveals aromas of licorice, blackcurrant, and pepper. The palate is fresh with very supple tannins.
Serving Suggestions
It pairs perfectly with grilled meats, coq au vin, or fondue bourguignonne.
