E. Guigal - Saint-Joseph Red Wine Saint-Joseph AOP - Rhône Valley
Guigal is the leading wine merchant in the Rhône Valley. This cuvée is produced from Syrah vines averaging 35 years old.
Winemaking
The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at high temperatures. This wine is aged in barrels that have held wine twice before for approximately 28 months.
Tasting Notes
This wine displays a dark color with purplish highlights. It offers a powerful nose with notes of wood and red fruit. On the palate, the attack is direct and fruity, with supple and rounded tannins.
Serving suggestion
Served at 16-18°C, this wine is an ideal accompaniment to red meats and cheeses.
