Bâtard-Montrachet is a Grand Cru vineyard located between the villages of Puligny and Chassagne. This east-facing hillside has a predominantly gravelly soil over a clay base. "Le Clos Poirier" is situated in the heart of Bâtard-Montrachet, just below Montrachet.
Winemaking
Vinification in oak barrels. 100% malolactic fermentation. Aged for 8 to 10 months in new, medium-toast oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
The nose and palate reveal aromas of honey, brioche, and vanilla, respectively. The finish offers notes of fresh almond and a beautiful minerality.
Serving Suggestions
Serve at 12-13°C with foie gras, Bresse chicken, monkfish with saffron, or creamy cheeses.
