E. Guigal is one of the leading wine producers in the Rhône Valley. The estate was founded by Étienne Guigal in 1946 but is currently owned by Philippe Guigal, the third generation. The vineyards cover more than 215 hectares, spread between the village of Ampuis and the surrounding communes. The vines are located in the Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Saint-Joseph appellations. The winery also produces other prestigious southern Rhône Valley appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, and Tavel.
